Monitoring

Management and your environments

Each capability is available in all the environments you are using (Development, Staging, QA, and Production). Each environment reflects its own accounts and users. Typically, accounts and users in Development, Staging, and QA are for testing purposes, while those in Production are your customers, as well as possibly testing accounts/users.

You can filter your testing users by filtering your domain in the Excluded domains filter located in the users section.

Logged events

Logs in your Frontegg portal allow you to view and analyze activities within your app and on additional third-party apps you are integrated with. You can use this feature for troubleshooting, debugging, and monitoring user activity. Logs will appear after completing your basic Frontegg integration and will include events from the Logged Events list.

Viewing your logs

To access your logs:

  1. Open the Frontegg portal.
  2. Choose [ENVIRONMENT] → Monitoring → Logs.

In the Log tab, you’ll find a list of recent events on your platform. Click a relevant event to open a detailed view of the log and associated data.

Logs are viewable only for users with Admin, Backoffice Editor, and Viewer roles.

Third-party log streaming

Log streaming to third-party services is available exclusively in the Production environment. For details on each integration, refer to the specific integration documentation here.

Third-party log streaming

You can stream your logs to third-party services, such as Datadog and Amazon EventBridge. Log streaming is accessible via the Monitoring dashboard under [PRODUCTION] → Monitoring.
