Managing passwords for individual user accounts
User account admins can manage password settings to enhance security and user access control.
After embedding the self-service portal, your users can adjust their password settings.
Access user password setup
You can enforce password policies to enhance security and prevent unauthorized access. Password restrictions apply to account creation and login attempts, ensuring users adhere to the defined security rules.
Log in to your application and in the Admin Portal navigate to the Security tab.
Scroll down to the Password section and click Manage.
Click the Configuration tab.
Set user lockout
If you need to set the maximum number of wrong password attempts before a user gets locked, enable User lockout by toggling the switch and entering the required number.
Set password history
If you need to limit how many new passwords a user must set before reusing an old one, enable Password history by toggling the switch and entering the required number.
Set password expiration
If you need to set the number of days before password expiration to prompt users to reset their password, first toggle the Password expiration switch, then toggle the Password expiration prompt switch, and enter the required number of days.
Click Save.
