Configuring hooks and third party integrations

To streamline your workflows and ensure you are promptly notified of events and actions related to third-party integrations, Frontegg offers the capability to create new integrations, webhooks, and custom webhooks. These tools allow you to receive notifications for various events such as user login failures, password resets, tenant updates, and more.

Step 1: Create a new connection

Open the Frontegg portal, then navigate to [ENVIRONMENT] ➜ Configurations ➜ Hooks. Click Connect next to the service of your choice. Frontegg currently offers integrations with Slack, Google Tag Manager, and the ability to configure a custom webhooks. Once you choose your desired application, fill the required information and choose the event you want to trigger.

Step 2: Customize the payload data

Once you choose the service, the payload data will be prefilled with a basic example of the necessary JSON data structure. You can choose to edit the payload data to match your needs, and use double curly brackets syntax to reference data from the event. Learn more in the [Customizing the payload data] topic.

Step 3: Test & activate

Click on the Test button to verify the validity of the hook (confirm that the service responds with a success message). Save the webhook to ensure it is activated.
