## External email providers

### Customize email templates with your external email provider

Frontegg allows you to integrate with external email providers, such as SendGrid, Amazon SES, and Mailgun, through the Frontegg portal or API. Note that you can configure only one external email provider at a time.

### Limitations of using Frontegg as your email provider

If you opt to use Frontegg as your email provider, you won't be able to customize your email templates. Your emails will also be limited in the following ways:

- **Predefined sender address**: All emails will be sent from a fixed address: [hello@frontegg.com](mailto:hello@frontegg.com).
- **Fixed subject lines**: Each email type has a set subject line that cannot be customized.
- **Rate limit**: You can send up to 100 emails per minute through Frontegg.
