## SocialRobot integration SocialRobot is a social media scheduling and analytics platform that publishes to Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, Facebook, Threads, Pinterest, Bluesky, and Mastodon from one place. Agen.co connects to SocialRobot through SocialRobot's own hosted MCP server as an **Official** connector. Each user authorizes with their own SocialRobot account, and agents can only reach the social accounts that user already connected in SocialRobot. Prerequisites - A SocialRobot account with at least one social account already connected in SocialRobot. The MCP server publishes only through accounts the user linked ahead of time — it cannot create new logins or link accounts on its own. - No app needs to be registered with SocialRobot — the MCP server registers Agen.co as a client automatically, so there is no Client ID or Client Secret to copy. ### Connect SocialRobot in Agen.co 1. In the Agen.co portal, go to **Connectors** → **My connectors** and click **Add connector**. 2. In the **Select connector** drawer, search for `SocialRobot` and select it. The **Add SocialRobot** panel opens. 3. Fill in the field: | Field | Required | Description | | --- | --- | --- | | **Instance Slug** | Yes | Prefixes each imported tool as `slug__tool`, so several instances of the connector can coexist. Prefilled with `socialrobot`, or with the next free slug such as `socialrobot-2` if SocialRobot is already connected. Use lowercase kebab-case. You can change it later from the connector's settings. | 4. Click **Connect**. SocialRobot opens in a new tab, and the panel shows **Waiting for authorization — complete it in the opened tab…** 5. On the **Authorize application** screen, which reads **Social Robot MCP is requesting access to your SocialRobot account**, sign in if prompted and click **Allow access**. The screen lists exactly what's granted — view-only access to connected accounts, scheduled posts, post analytics, audience insights, usage and quota, and the media library, plus the ability to create and manage posts, upload media, and generate AI content against the account's quota — and states plainly what it can't do: change the password, manage the subscription, add or remove connected social accounts, or reach anything beyond that list. 6. Back in Agen.co, the panel switches to **Select the tools to import from SocialRobot.** Every tool is toggled on; turn off any you don't want to import, then click **Add**. The connector is created and its tools imported only when you click **Add**. If you close the panel before that, nothing is saved, even though the SocialRobot tab reported success. ### Authorize each user Adding the connector doesn't authorize anyone's tool calls yet. The first time each user's agent calls a SocialRobot tool, the call returns an authorization link instead of a result. The user opens the link and approves the same way. After that, the user's tool calls reach only the social accounts that user connected in SocialRobot. Once connected, SocialRobot appears under **My connectors** with 20 tools spanning: | Area | What it covers | | --- | --- | | **Connected accounts** | Listing every social account the user has connected in SocialRobot | | **Posts** | Creating, listing, updating, rescheduling, and deleting scheduled, draft, and published posts — including TikTok direct-post vs. draft-to-app targeting, and thread targeting for X and Threads | | **Media** | Getting a presigned upload URL and, as a fallback, uploading media directly for use in a post | | **Analytics** | Reading account-level and per-post analytics, posts with their latest analytics, follower demographics, and personalized best-posting-time guidance for Instagram | | **LinkedIn targeting** | Searching geo-locations, organizations, and Page followers to tag in a LinkedIn Company Page post | | **TikTok** | Reading a connected creator's posting limits and privacy options before publishing | | **Pinterest** | Reading top pins and boards, and creating a new board | Enabling the SocialRobot connector isn't enough on its own. Tool calls remain denied until you create a [policy](/agen-for-work/policies/overview) that grants access to the specific tools you want to expose. ### Additional resources - [SocialRobot](https://socialrobot.io/) - [SocialRobot MCP server docs](https://socialrobot.io/mcp) - [SocialRobot MCP server on GitHub](https://github.com/socialrobot-io/socialrobot-mcp)
