## Autodesk integration

Autodesk makes design, engineering, and construction software such as AutoCAD, Revit, Fusion, and Maya.

Autodesk publishes an official **Product Help MCP server**, so Agen.co connects to it directly as an **Official** connector. Your agents can search Autodesk's help documentation and support articles and look up Autodesk products and releases.

The Product Help MCP server is public and needs no Autodesk account, sign-in, or credentials. It serves Autodesk's published help content only: it can't access your Autodesk account, files, designs, or data.

### Connect Autodesk in Agen.co

1. In the Agen.co portal, go to **Connectors** → **My connectors** and click **Add connector**.
2. Search for `Autodesk` and select it.
3. In the **Add Autodesk** panel, fill in the field:


| Field | Required | Description |
|  --- | --- | --- |
| **Instance Slug** | Yes | Namespaces this instance. It prefixes each imported tool as `slug__tool`, so several instances of the same MCP server can coexist. Use lowercase kebab-case, for example `autodesk`. You can change it later from the connector's settings. |


1. Click **Connect**. Agen.co opens a new browser tab, and the panel shows **Waiting for authorization — complete it in the opened tab…**. There's nothing to sign in to or approve, and after a few seconds the panel moves on by itself.
2. The panel shows **Select the tools to import from Autodesk.** with a toggle for each tool, all on by default. Turn off any tool you don't want, then click **Add**. The connector is created and its tools imported only when you click **Add**. If you close the panel before that, no connector is created.


Once connected, Autodesk appears under **My connectors** with two tools:

|  --- | --- |
| `search_help_content` | Searches Autodesk help documentation and support articles for a question or an exact error message, optionally filtered by product, release, and locale |
| `get_available_products` | Returns Autodesk's product catalog with product names, product codes, and release codes, for use as filters in `search_help_content` |


Enabling the Autodesk connector isn't enough on its own. Tool calls remain denied until you create a [policy](/agen-for-work/policies/overview) that grants access to the specific tools you want to expose.
